Location description:
Amity Medical is a building of four stories, covered with windows and plastered in first aid crosses. The majority of the structure is worn from erratic weather, the bricks cracked with various chunks broken off of the walls. Many windows are shattered with their glass shards littered around the center’s perimeter. The floors consist of the same components – trashed medical equipment, decimated bodies, and walls soaked with blood. Although it once boasted the best healthcare in the nation, it ironically houses a large portion of the undead. Many had retreated to the center at the first sign of the illness, but were appalled when the staff couldn’t cure them instantly. Hundreds were taken in, packed in crowded rooms (sometimes three to a single cot) and ceaselessly tested on. It became clear to personnel (albeit too late) that the Ailment was a no-win situation; crafting a remedy was impossible, there wasn’t enough time nor resources. In light of this recognition, employees began a slaughter, called the Amity Massacre. A fraction of patients were killed in this event, before the healthy were overpowered and turned into one of the undead.
