Location name:
Wandering Souls
Location in city:
South
Level of freedom:
Accessible only to Resistance members
Level of infestation:
Low Risk
Location description:
The Wandering Souls Venue is located in the ‘slums’ of Vitae, surrounded by condemned buildings and raider camps. After the establishment of the Resistance, skewed rusty doors and broken glass were soon replaced with undented steel and tinted, barred windows; as an outward claim to the building, the sign proclaiming the venue’s name was repainted a vibrant blue. What couldn’t be revamped is still noticeably rugged and dirty. The inside of the venue is divided into three rooms, with the addition of a rooftop lounge. The main room houses a large stage flanked by a series of amps and a vast amount of floor space. The more technical-minded Resistance members had little trouble re-rigging an array of colored lights to lighten up the room. A door adjacent to the left side of the stage leads to a storage area, containing dozens of musical instruments; from electric basses to double-necked guitars, 16-piece drum sets and versatile keyboards. Pictures of bands, backdrops, banners and tour posters plaster the walls as a memory of those who dominated the venue before the infestation – a bittersweet reminder of their carefree fans looms on the ceiling: bras, boxers, binders, briefs, thongs, all kinds of undergarments.
Just through the entrance of Wandering Souls and to the left is a crimson curtain haloed by a graffiti sign reading “the Soulless Crew”. Before the outbreak, only the most ‘esteemed’ rockers could gain entry into this room.
A raised platform heads the room, holding up a pristine white bar. The shelves just behind it used to hold various bottles of alcohol – but, per the Resistance leader’s demand, the alcohol became molotovs, and the bar became a stockpile for weaponry of all kinds. Alabaster couches span the walls, out of the way for attendants to mingle and dance when their energy is particularly high. It’s rumored that during particularly sensitive matters, the leader of the Resistance will gather with her most trusted confidants to discuss their course of action.
